Autoerotic asphyxiation is the act of enhancing sexual arousal and orgasm by reducing the supply of oxygen to the brain. Mostly men engage in this type of activity and most of the time the activity is acted out alone and sometime with a partner. Individual practicing AEA may use rope, chain, or leather belt which is place around the neck and pressure is applied to reduce oxygen to the brain. This type of activity is extremely dangerous and can result in death.

A person tend to engage in AEA alone with self-suffocation techniques and this may include self-hanging or self-chocking while masturbating to heightened arousal and orgasm. Sometime plastic bag over the head or chest compression device may be used to restrict oxygen to the brain and caused suffocation.

A person engaged in autoerotic asphyxiation mainly for enhancing arousal and to achieve intense orgasm. Most practitioners developed techniques to release pressure around the neck and to free themselves before losing consciousness.

Accidental deaths occur even though practitioners developed some kind of plan to escape once they have achieved sexual gratification. People who die from AEA have no intention of killing themselves or committing suicide. Most of the time accidental deaths occur either from equipment failure or a person become too weak from lack of oxygen to the brain that they don’t have the strength to free themselves and they simply passed out and died from suffocation.

Based on some of the fatality cases, a person may perform this activity in nude or semi-nude and various pornographic materials and sex toys are usually discovered at the scene. Evidence found at the death scene also indicates a person have masturbated and ejaculated prior to death.

Evidence also indicates a person has participated in different types of paraphilias and these may include transvestic fetishism, sexual masochism, and sexual sadism. Evidence also indicates mirror and video camera have been used at the scene where a person can look at himself and record the activity.

Sometime family members discovered the deceased before the authority and they tend to remove sexually explicit materials from the scene out of embarrassment and without solid evidence many of these deaths are classified as suicide rather than accident by investigator.

Klismaphilia

Klismaphilia is the unusual act of achieving sexual arousal from the process of introducing liquid into the rectum and colon for the purpose of causing a bowel movement. This procedure is also known as enema. Some people get arouse by fantasizing about receiving enema and this type of paraphilia is practiced by both men and women regardless of sexual orientation.

Coprophilia

Coprophilia is the act of achieving sexual arousal from contact with feces. A person may achieve sexual excitement from watching someone defecate or by defecating on someone and in some cases, a person may achieve arousal when someone defecates on them.

Urophilia

Urophilia is the act of achieving sexual arousal from contact with urine. A person may get sexually arouse by urinating on someone or when someone urinates on them. This type of paraphilia is also referred to as “golden showers.” A person may also get arouse by seeing someone wet in their pants or by the smell of urine on clothing or body parts.
