Conception begins with getting pregnant by choosing the right time to have sexual intercourse to increase the chance of pregnancy. Infertility problems may exist that prevent couples from getting pregnant. Infertility problems can be caused by many factors such as female infertility and male infertility. The development of the fetus takes nine months or forty weeks since the time of conception. There are three stages of childbirth and usually a mother would give birth to the child during the second stage of labor.

Since the time of conception to carrying the pregnancy for forty weeks and finally giving birth to the child, a mother’s overall health is completely depleted from the entire process. Postpartum care is required to ensure mother is care for immediately after childbirth to help her body heal and to restore her health back to pre-pregnancy.
